The object of the game is to use a laser to destroy asteroids holding mathematical calculations. The laser will only work when the operation enclosed in the asteroid is answered correctly.
Of course, you must answer correctly before the asteroid reaches the surface of the earth. If four asteroids manage to get through your defenses, it's game over.
Tux of Math Command includes two playing modes: arcade, with different levels of difficulty in which the exercises are randomized but with difficulty increasing as you go, and study, which tells you which areas you will be practicing as you play: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, etc.
